Carnival Cruise Vacation: Starting the New Year off Right

The number one tip on how to have an unforgettable, stress-free cruise with the kids

Leave them at home!

Period.

Listen. I know what you’re thinking. This is a blog about cruising with kids, blah, blah blah. Bump that! Sometimes you gotta leave those little crumb snatchers at home with the most responsible adult that you can find and hit the road with the tires spinning!

In my case, the hubs is the innocent but not so innocent casualty in this situation. I’m full of bright, spontaneous travel ideas. Thankfully, the hubs was down for the cause and offered to take time off to stay home and watch the kiddos so my mother, mother-in-law and I can take a trip to Miami to hop onboard one of Carnival’s Funships. (Isn’t he the best!!)

Yep, we are road tripping it.

15 hours.

I’m actually looking forward to the drive. It will be a great time to catch up, laugh, sleep, listen to my music, enjoy the silence without the distractions and the constant calling of my name all day long…MOM! MOM! MOM!

We are arriving the day before our departure and staying in a park and cruise hotel. Not sure which one yet as I’m still researching that part. My bags are packed as of today (yep it’s that serious with me) and waiting.

My plans when we board….

Sleep in, eat, drink, layout in the sun, exercise, read, dance most nights away, have a few fruity drinks with those umbrellas, get a massage or a facial…maybe both.

What happens on the cruiseship stays on the cruiseship! LOL

Stay tuned for the details on our shenanigans!!

This is my all girl crew for my upcoming vacation getaway. My mother is on the left. That’s me in the middle and my mother-in-law on the right.
