No More Ghana…Thanks Ebola
I decided about two weeks ago that I’m no longer going to Ghana. Those of you who follow this little ole’ blog know how excited I was when I secured my space on this cultural study tour months ago. Since the outbreak of the Ebola virus, I’ve closely monitored the CDC, WHO and every news outlets trying to stay abreast on the latest news about Ebola as confirmed cases continue to rise.
There is so much uncertainty within the entire region right now. I do not want to take the risk. So what do I do with a non-refundable $1,300 plane ticket with Delta Airlines?
I have a few ideas….
1) I have until July of 2015 to use it. I could make plans to go at a later time.
2) I can use the credits to fly out to lets say….California or Las Vegas for an afternoon of food, fun and be back home in time enough to help the kiddies with their homework in the evening.
3) I could go to South Africa.
I don’t know what I’m going to do….but I’m going to have fun figuring it out!! Ohhhh….the possibilities.
