Throwback Thursday!! Carnival Cruise Vacation

I thought it would be a fun idea to incorporate a few throw back pictures from various cruises and vacations we’ve shared along the years. I love to reminisce on the many vacations that we’ve shared because vacations are where some of our best memories were created. I’m sure you would also agree that when you go away on vacation, nothing else matters. Work, bills and everyday life stress is put on a back burner when you’re away. You’re living in the moment and enjoying life to the fullest. While I try to live in this state of mind everyday, looking at old photos, reminiscing about those moments and thinking about the great things that are about to come into our lives helps put me back on the right track, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Here are a few throwback pictures from our first cruise together as couple in 2006. Yes, before marriage and the kids. It was with Carnival aboard the Fascination on 1/20/2006. The cruise was for three days to the Bahamas leaving from Miami, Florida. We arrived the day before, stayed over night on South Beach and caught a cab to the Port of Miami the next day. We had the best time! Everything about the trip was fun from the time we boarded our flight at BWI to the last night of the cruise. We rented a jet ski at Paradise Island and rode the roughest waves. We took a carriage ride throughout Nassau to do some sightseeing. After frolicking about in the heat all day, we jetted back to our cabin to shower, change and end the party at Senior Frogs. Oh yeah, he watched me from the sidelines shaking his head laughing while I took shots in a congo line, learned how to “dutty wine” and dance the night away. Yep, great memories…..

As I look at these photographs and the many others that we have from over the years, I can’t help but feel a sense of gratitude. Life is so short. I am so happy that I have been able to create such wonderful memories with one of the most selfless men I have ever met. We really do have a great life together. We may not have everything that we want, but we definitely have everything that we need, and the best is yet to come.

This post is dedicated to you boo!

I love you~
